  1. A lighter work from an artist whose "still life" subjects are starkly presented in the foreground of a profound darkness. Her shadowless images nonetheless convey depth, not the least because the highlights suggest the light source is a flashbulb, and the resulting forms a camera viewfinder retinal afterimage. In this image,the suggestion of an ephemeral light source implies the capture of a moment encapsulating a ribbon's drop, a soap bubble's drift, a worm's serpentine pose and a rose's slide from an inclined pedestal.
